One sunny afternoon, as we danced through the garden, tending to our tomatoes with Mom, our little Lucy—just three years old at the time—accidentally gave one of our tomato plants a rather dramatic haircut, sending its head rolling to the ground. Dad, with a twinkle in his eye, reassured us, “Don’t worry, let me work my magic!”
Lucy, her eyes wide with wonder, gasped, “I didn’t know you knew plant magic, Dad!”
With a flourish, Dad dipped the severed stem into a pot of rooting hormone, gave it a secret swirl, and gently planted it back into the soil, as if whispering ancient plant spells to the earth. And just like that, the enchanted world of PlantMagic Genetics was born.
